For the majority of us trying to lose weight doesn’t fall into either category. That is unless you love to exercise, or find it fun to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. If that is the case, you probably shouldn’t be reading this. As for the rest of us, let’s face it, most of us are just too overworked, stressed out, or just plain tired, to think about a heavy exercise regiment. Of course, when everything lets us down, we always have our best friend, food. In the next few minutes I am going to introduce you to a proven program that not only will help you lose whatever it is that you want to, but shows a fun way you can continue to eat your favorite foods. First, however, we want to look at the reasons why most diet programs fail. Remember, as with anything, what works for some people doesn’t always work for everyone. That is why we have so many weight loss systems, books and programs. We all have heard of The Atkins Diet, The Pritikin Principle, The South Beach Diet, and of course there is Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers. This not to mention the hundreds of diet pills, powders and potions there are in the market. Rather than try to describe each weight loss product, I’ve broken different methods used by them into categories. As a consumer you must be made aware of the myths that persist in the weight loss industry. Starvation Diet I know it sounds ridiculous to say that someone who is starving themselves is on a diet. But for the hundreds of thousands of women who pop pills and binge, it is a reality. Plain and simple, your body needs food to function properly. There are so called liquid diets, and programs that tell you to eat as little as possible. Losing weight this way is actually worse for you than gaining weight. Without proper nutrients, your body will systematically break down. Eating Low Carbs You have probably tried or heard of someone who has tried the diet plans that consist of eating only low carbs. For some this may work, but for most of us life will be miserable. The body can’t function on a low carb diet and will cause you to have headaches, irritability and sleep loss. You will end up gaining weight after the initial weight loss. Low Fat Diets Low fat does not equate to loss of weight. Just take a good look at the so called Low Fat foods that the stores sell. These foods are typically very high in calories, and will cause you to gain, not lose weight. Pre-package Diet Programs These companies all are prospering on the simple concept of moderation. They haven’t done anything that you can’t do yourself. They have just made it easier for someone to eat less. I am sure that not only can you cook better meals than they offer, you’ll be able to do it for a fraction of the cost. Hollywood Diets Most of the time it seems that the most popular anything out of Hollywood, is a ripoff of someone else’s program. It usually that way with diets. The most popular still seems to be” binge and purge” or just not eating at all. Occasionally some guru comes up with a silly idea like a “cookie” diet, or a mystical potion, or some other kind of nonsense. Starting To See The Lite As I have already stated, most if not all diet and weight loss programs fall into these categories. So, I’ve shown you what doesn’t work and why if you have tried any of the above programs you are still overweight. You’re asking yourself what method is there that can possibly strip unwanted fat from your body? And don’t forget I said it would be FUN. Losing Weight Can be Fun!
